New Years and the Rose Parade

New Years and the Rose Parade December 31st 2013 Pasadena, CA It has been about 6 years since we have been to the Rose Parade. After this long break I don’t know what brought about the desire to go again. We started talking about it in October and mentally started getting ready. We even bought air mattresses on black Thursday for the occasion. On December 31st we left around 3pm to Pasadena. When we got there the streets were full with people that had already reserved their spots along the route. We finally found our spot at the beginning of the route in front of the Rose House. During the night the floats were brought in and parked. We even had a float parked in front of us! The night was busy with constant people walking around looking at the floats we even had an LA time reporter come and interview us. The interview made the paper the next day, How cool is that! (Below is the article) We did manage to get some sleep. The next day we enjoy front row seats to the most beautiful parade in the world! We are planning to continue this tradition again next year.
