Zamora Family: 2013 Year End Recap

2013 Year End Recap. This year I was not consistent with the blog and the kids were requesting that we keep it updated. So to make up for the time missed I figured I should do a year-end recap and just outline the most notable things that we have done all year per person. Here we go...

Louis 18 year's old- he joined the science club and the chess club at the college. He volunteered with the Antelope Valley High School ban at the beginning of the year. he is a 4.0 GPA student and is absolutely in love with higher math.

Michael 13- Michael went to Washington DC for a week in July. He visited many historical landmarks. He visited the White House, the US Capitol, The Washington, Mt. Vernon, Ford Theater, Holocaust museum, The National Archives, The Lincoln memorial, The Smithsonian and the Arlington Cemetery, where he got to see the changing of the guards. He also went to Virginia to visited Jamestown and Colonial Williams berg.

Jason 5- Jason started Kindergarten and likes his new teacher Mrs. Corso. He also lost his first tooth. He is learning to read. One of his favorite books is "Don't let the pigeon stay up late" by Mo Willems. He can recite the book word per word.

Emily- Emi was born at the beginning of the year. Since then she learned to roll over, crawl and walk. One of our favorite memory thus far happened on day when the Gomez girls came over for a visit. The girls wanted to change her. Pricilla changed her outfit and then Desi changed her again. By then Emil was fuzzy and Carol came to her rescue, and as she was hugging and cuddling her trying to comfort her she held her up above her head and that is when Emily threw-up all over Carol's face. Some might have even gotten into her mouth... Just a little gross.

Desiree 16- Hey! Everyone one on the road!: Watch it Desi has her driver license! Desi was so excited to get her license that she even made a DMV appointment on her birthday and they said she had to wait to till she was over 16. This year she turned 16 and has a beautiful sweet 16 party. This year in High school she was a varsity cheerleader and her GPA is 3.70.

Prici 13- This year Miss Prici had a sleep over at Sea World(No, she did not see the Orcas getting abused) She also did cheer leading and she played volleyball for her school. Prici also made it to the Allstars in softball. Her GPA is a 4.0. She still owns her lovely dog teacup which recently she started calling MYTEA.

Derek 10 - Derek this year participated in the national Geography bee. Only a few students from his entire school were selected to participate. Derek is nuts about the Titanic. He loves art and one day hopes to be an artist. This year Derek started reading Harry Potter.

Destiny 8- Destiny this year went to Disneyland for the first time in her life! She had quite a few firsts she learned to ride her bike and she went camping for the first time. This year she also participated in the Science Fair at school.

Aaron 4- Aaron this year started going to college (daycare at the college campus) he likes YO GABBA GABBA and carries around his Plex toy. At home he likes to play with the kitchen utensils and the bean smasher is his favorite. Aaron is addicted to coca cola and his mom and dad are happy that he learned to go to the restroom unassisted!

Andrew 1- Andrew turned one this year and is such a handsome little boy. He learned his basic words and is able to communicate his needs. He loves to feed himself. And is a big helper around the house specially when it comes to picking up his toys. He is very active and is driving his mom and dad crazy. he is often compared to Aaron. Xio's favorite memory is of watching the reaction on Andrew's face as he played in the rain.

Hector and Marta - They announced this year the news that we have been wanting to hear. They are having a baby! On Christmas we found out that a baby girls is on her way to the Gomez-Macias house.

Xio and Jesse- No, they did not announce that they are having another baby. Xio quit her job and went back to school. She did a CNA program that she finished in December. Jesse is working very hard on his business and is very enthusiastic about it. he even had to hire some help!

Carol and Brian- Brian finished his apprenticeship. Carol quit her job to be a stay home mom then was offered a job that she couldn't refuse and went back to work.
