Christmas Eve 2013

Christmas Eve 2013 December 24th 2013 At the Zamora House Christmas Eve was celebrated at the Zamora house. Everyone came over to celebrate. We made our traditional tamales. We also made ham and potatoes and the Gomez-Macias brought over some very delicious mac and cheese. This year most of all the adults and kids fell asleep waiting for Christmas, luckily the teenagers stayed up and woke us up right before midnight. Everyone received lots of gifts. Seeing all the smiling faces makes it all worth it.

Once everyone was done with opening their gifts Hector and Marta has a gift for us. Hector and Marta are expecting a baby in April. Before Christmas they went to get an ultrasound to find out the sex of the baby. They cleverly had the doctor put the sex of the baby in an envelope which they opened for us on Christmas. Hector took a vote all the girls believed that the baby would be a girl and all the boys believed it would be a boy. Hector counted the votes and opened the envelope. The envelope revealed that they are having a…………………. Little……………….. GILR!!! (And the crowd went wild!) (Word on the street is that the envelope was a bit transparent and that the mommy-to-be might have not been patient and peeked, well. Can you blame her?)

We are all so excited to have a new baby in the family. We can’t wait to meet her and hold her and love upon her.
