Louis and his Turkey

Louis received a free turkey from the local hospital where he is a volunteer. He has been a volunteer at the hospital since January of this year. He works in the central processing department. He assembles surgery kits and stocks the surgery department. I am so proud of him for volunteering.

Henry and Louis cooked the Turkey on Saturday the 21st. Our family had a turkey dinner before everyone else...

My New Nephew

Brian and Carol ( my brother and his wife) had a new baby boy on Monday, November 23.
His name is Aaron Jake, he weighed 9lbs and was 20 inches long. He is so cute! Mom, baby and family are all doing good!

Art Gallery

Michael's Classroom Art displayed.

Michael and his class mates created some pieces of art that were displayed in a art gallery. The art gallery had jazz music a local music choir and they had snacks for us. We had a great time! Michael's class won three prizes for their piece of art. Each prize came with a $50.00 prize money. The kids are voting on how to spend their $150.00 dollars. Congratulations!

Best Birthday Gift EVER!

November 1st

My birthday!

For my birthday we stayed home and jsut relaxed. So what did I get for my birthday you ask... Well the best thing Henry could have done for me: Here goes the story:

We own a 1990 Chevy Lumina we purchased it used in 1998. I really enjoyed this car it was big and roomie. But then it started malfunctioning, so I started telling Henry that we need a new car because the van was no longer realiable, so one raining day in the fall of 2004, I was driving the boys to school when all of a sudden the van turned off but it kept rolling! I had traffic behind me the emergency lights didn't work and I could not turn it back on nor could I brake, it just kept going. I finally got it to stop by hitting the sidewalk gently until it stop... That day I had Henry drop me off to work and I told him I would never,ever drive that car again. I told him not to come back to pick me up unless he had a new car.. that day I got my Honda CRV. ( thankgoodness!) Ever since the argument has been between Henry and I. I say get rid of it sell it, give it away, junk it, just get rid off it. Henry on the other hand says i can fix it its just the _____ i'll fix it. Then he fixes the ______ and nothing. So for the last 6years I have wanted Henry to get rid of that eyesore. That piece of junk that no good for nothing piece of metal. SO......
for my birthday the junk yard came to pick it up!!!!

Halloween 2009

Jason was Buzzlightyear and Michael was a Railroad worker (He wore his dad's work uniform) Jason really liked trick or treating, at the begining he was kinda of confused and did not understand but once he saw people giving him candy. He was quick to say chick o thicht candy pumpkin. Translation: Trick or treat put candy in my pumkin. Louis does not dress up for halloween. :(

Our reasons for picking this cause:
We choose this cause because each of us in our team knows someone with Diabetes, most closest to us is Carol my best friend and sister-in-law she is also my niceses mom. My friend Melinda did it for her mom.

It was a nice day for a walk. We walked through downtown LA. We started in near City Hall, then passed Placita Olvera, we were greeted with fortune cookies at Chinatown, then we passed through the Our Lady of the Angeles Cathedral, we were impressed with the Disney concert hall then back to city hall. The kids really enjoyed themselves.
I am very proud of everyone in our team as together we raised almost $1000.00!

Family Stay-Cation

October 7-10, 2009
Bishop, Mammoth, and Yosemite CA

We just came back from our mini road trip vacation. We first camped out at Bishop near Mammoth Lake. The next day we drove up to Lake Mammoth were we hike up to see Devils Post Pile.( A rock formation made from Lava many moons ago)We stayed there overnight and the next day we drove to Yosemite. We had many stops along the way. We stopped to see Red Rock Canyon about an hour away from Lancaster. We stopped and had a picnic and a small hike at Convict Lake. Yosemite our last stopped was so amazing that I really think we are going back to spend more time there to really enjoy everything it has to offer.

Labor Day Fun

The boys wanted to go to the beach so we decieded to go to Ventura for the Day. We invited my brother's family to join us. My sister and her friend Jessie also went with us. Jason had a blast playing in the water and with the sand. Louis played volleyball with Desi, Xio and Jessie. Michael made a giant hole in the sand and turned that into a Fort.

My Hero

Michael is my hero. Michael, Jason and I were going to go for a bike ride. As I went in to get my stuff, Henry staying in the garage with Jason. Michael was out on the street riding his bike. Jason ran out to the sidewalk right in front of Michael, Michael had to swerved his bike to avoid him. But Michael turned the handlebars to the point where the handlebars were pointing to him. So he crashed and as he fell, he fell into the handlebars. Micheal avoided Jason, but he got a huge bruise instead. My Hero!

Its my little sister's birthday we had to go and spend time with her. I love seeing her! She is as cute as when she was a baby. My favorite memorie of her is when she was small about 1-2years old. She had cute chunky legs, and full round cheeks and she had a perfect smile that melt your heart. She had thin hair that I would comb into two pony tails on the side of her head, her hair would fall as two small little water fountains on her head. She was soooooo cute! (Well, she is still so cute!)
