Time With Family

This weekend my cousins from Mexico came for a short visit. They are my mom's oldest brother's dauthers: Hareni and Cenit. They came to know the area and to get aquainted with family in this country. They pretty much stayed at my mom's house in Lynwood. Henry and Xio my two youngest siblings took them out and showed them around apperantly they partied a little to much on some nights.:) I got to spend some time with them on Saturday and Sunday. We went to the Getty Villa in Malibu and to the Strawberry Festival. On Sunday night my aunts Yolanda (My mom's sister) and Silvia (My mom's sister in law)came over with with their kids they are all growing up so fast, it made me feel so old! :)

Este fin de semana nos visitaron nuestras primas de Mexico. Ellas son las hijas del hermano mayor de me mama Salome; ellas se llaman Hareni y Senit. Vinieron a conoser el area y a la familia. Se quedaron en casa de mi mama en la ciudad de Lynwood. Mis hermanos mas chicos Xiomara y Henry las llevaron a conoser y aparentemente si divirtieron mucho. Yo tuve chansa de estar con ellas el fin de semana. Visitamos la villa Getty en la ciudad de Malibu y fuimos al festival de las fresas en la cuidad de Oxnard. El Domingo en la noche mis tias Yola y Silvia se reunieron en casa de mi mama con sus hijos, los cuales estan cresiendo muy rapido, ya hasta me siento vieja junto a ellos. :)

We celebrated Henry's birthday by taking him to the Strawberry festival in Oxnard. Everyone in our family love strawberries. We go every year. We really enjoy the strawberry pizza, strawberry nachos and the smoothies.

Mother's Day

I had the best mother's day ever! Louis made breakfast for me. He made grilled cheese but not just any gilled cheese. Staeak stuffed grilled cheese. Michael gave me the coolest pop-up mother's day card. Henry got me flowers and we all went for a walk at Ferndell Park in Griffith Park. It is a park with natural running springs and it has a jungle feel to it. Thank you boys for making the day so special!

Friends Birthday Party

Michael and Louis were invited to a birthday party of one of their friend from Taekwondo. They had a blast. All the kids(teenagers) dance and joked around. Louis was even dancing. Surprising!

Henry out of the blues asked if we wanted to go camping, I of course thought the boys would say "no" since they just finished their volunteer work. I should have known that they would say "yes!" Well... of we went to have an overnight camping trip at Lake Webb. We had a nice time just the five of us.

Something funny that happened:

Michael had an encounter with ANGRY DUCKS! They seemed like they wanted to attack him! :) Pretty funny!
